IDRIUS
Idrieus was the second son of Hecatomnus and was satrap of Caria in 391. After the death of Maussolus and Artemisia, their brother Idrieus became satrap. He was the ruler of Caria for seven years, and In 344, he died of a disease. In his last will, he appointed his sister-wife Ada as his successor. Their younger brother Pixodarus did not like the idea and exiled Ada to the city of Alinda. The golden days of Caria, created by Maussolus and expanded by Idrieus, were soon in decline. Ten years after the death of Idrieus, a Persian named Orontobates was appointed as the satrap of Caria.
